Tele-Health & In-Person Counselling
in Brisbane and across Australia

Hi there, I’m Taf

I specialise in providing counselling and therapy to adults in their 20s to 40s who are navigating mental health and well-being challenges, relationships, grief and loss, trauma, and other complexities of adult life.

Imagine a space where you don’t have to edit your thoughts, overthink your words, or fear judgment. What would it feel like to be met exactly as you are?

Your story is welcome here! Let’s get started

Welcome to the space...
I am based in West End, Brisbane, just a short distance from the CBD and easily accessible by public transport or car. We can work together in person, or online from the comfort of your own home - whether you're in Australia or anywhere else in the world.

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you”.

A BIT MORE ABOUT ME

How I became a mental health therapist

I was born and raised in Zimbabwe before moving to Australia as a young adult. That experience of migration, and all the complexity it brings, has deepened my understanding of what it means to navigate life transitions, isolation, grief, and a sense of displaced belonging. It has also strengthened my appreciation for the role of community, supportive relationships, and the resilience it takes to rebuild a sense of self and belonging over time.

Over nearly a decade, I’ve worked across both public and private human services, supporting individuals impacted by trauma and mental health challenges. I now work in private practice in Brisbane, primarily with adults navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and neurodivergent experiences. The people I’ve had the privilege of supporting and my own lived experience continue to shape how I show up in the room: with presence, openness, curiosity, and deep respect for the many layers we all carry.

At the heart of my clinical practice is the therapeutic relationship. I work from a collaborative, process-oriented, and relational approach, paying attention not only to what’s said and thought, but also to what’s felt in the body, expressed through the nervous system, and revealed in patterns of relating to self and others. I believe meaningful change happens in the context of safety, connection, and mutual respect. This is the kind of space I aim to co-create with each person I work alongside, where you can feel supported to explore, reflect, and grow in ways that feel meaningful.
